This website is the home of the Aurora Testnet, where currently you can bridge assets between the Aurora Testnet and the Ethereum Ropsten networks.
Aurora is an Ethereum Virtual Machine created by the stellar team at the NEAR Protocol, delivering a turn-key solution for developers to operate their apps on an Ethereum-compatible, high-throughput, scalable and future-safe platform, with low transaction costs for their users.
Frequently asked questions
For the time being, it’s easiest to acquire some Ropsten Testnet ETH, and use our bridge here to transfer it to Aurora Testnet. In the near term, we’ll be adding a faucet functionality to this testnet site. And if worse comes to worst, just hit us up in Telegram :-)
In the bridge UI, as soon as you click to set the direction from Aurora to Ethereum, we’ll trigger MetaMask to add the network for you automatically. You’ll just need to confirm the MetaMask prompt. Slick, we know!
At the moment we have Aurora to Ethereum transfers disabled, while we finalize the necessary infrastructure. Expect bi-directional transfers on testnet to be available very soon!
